New shopping channel coming to Sky's digital TV service

Sky's digital TV subscribers now have access to a new jewellery teleshopping channel. Digital TV provider Sky is now offering access to a new teleshopping channel through its broadcast platform, it has been revealed.

Canis Media has announced that JewelleryMaker.com is available at position 655 on Sky's electronic programme guide and will showcase a number of items ideal for creating gemstone products.

According to Digital Spy, the channel was founded by the chief executive of Rocks.TV Steve Bennett and his wife Sara.

Ed Hall, chief executive of Canis Media, told the website: "It is positive and refreshing to see this new channel launch on Sky and further demonstrates the flourishing nature of direct response TV and teleshopping in a difficult economic climate."
